Infrastructure Augmentation

2018-2019

1. Restoration of the herbal garden has been completed. Two hundred Mahogany trees have been planted. The garden has been further augmented with 250 more trees in 2019
2. Corridor from main building to Science building has been constructed.
3. Staff toilet has been constructed
4. A prayer for the solar panel has been sent to the North Bengal Development Department (NBDD).
5. Generator has been installed.
6. Water purifier machine has been installed
7. Construction of a separate block for girls’ toilet has started.

2019-2020

1. Furnishing of Botany and Geography laboratories has been completed.
2. Painting of the college building and a part of the boundary wall has been completed.
   CCTV surveillance has been extended to include the college library.
3. Photocopy machines have been installed in the college office and also in library.
4. A mechanism of solid waste management has been started on the college campus.
5. Talks have been initiated for the purchase of the Sanitary napkin vending machine.

2021-2022

1. Principal’s room, Library Office have been renovated.
2. The furnishing of IQAC room has been completed.
3. Furnishing of Zoology and Chemistry Laboratories have been completed.
4. Science building brought under CCTV surveillance.
5. Overhead projector has been installed in Science Building.
6. Solar panel has been installed. The loading capacity of the solar panel has been enhanced in next year.
7. A drinking water purifying machine has been installed in the Teachers’ common room.
8. Trees have been planted within our college premises as part of the observation of World Environment Day on 05.06.2022.

2022-2023

1. Uniform dress code will be started for the students from 2022-23 academic session.
2. Wi Fi zone for the students has been installed.
3. Sick room, Girls’ Common Room and Boys’ Common room have been renovated

2018-2019

1. Departments have been augmented with books purchased from the local book fair
2. PMS Mahavidyalaya App has been launched on 6 June,2019.

2019-2020

1. The Jalpaiguri District Level Youth Parliament Competition was successfully organized under the Department of parliamentary Affairs, Government of West Bengal on November 9, 2019.
2. An International Seminar on ‘Conjugal Relationship in Society and Literature’ by the Department of Bengali has been organized in collaboration with Centre for Women’s Studies, NBU during March 5-6, 2020

2020-2021

1. Career counselling and Anti-drug addiction awareness programme have been successfully organized by Matelli Police Station in collaboration with Parimal Mitra Smriti Mahavidyalaya on 19.01.2021.
2. The online class have been conducted throughout the lock down period.
3. The dais has been restored in some classrooms.
4. The whiteboard has been replaced in some classrooms.

2021-2022

1. On 11.07.2021 an Intemational webinar on ‘SamkalinRachnadharmita Me Paryavaran Vimarsh’ has been organized by the Department of Hindi in collaboration with Madhukar ShodhSansthan, Datiya (MP).
2. On 25.07.2021 a webinar on Career Opportunities in Bioscience has been organized by the Department of Zoology of our college.
3. On 13.08.2021 a National webinar on ‘Premchand Ke Sapno Ka Bharat’ has been organized by the Department of Hindi of our College.
4. A special lecture on Women’s Rights and Domestic Violence has been delivered by Leena Gangopadhyay, Chairperson, West Bengal Commission for Women on 29.11.2021.
5. Special lecture on Swami Vivekananda’s thoughts on Value Education has been delivered by Swami Jnanalokananda, Secretary Ramakrishna Mission, Swami Vivekananda’s Ancestral House and Culture Centre. Date: 28/3/2022
6. An awareness programme on skill development was organized by Pratham Education Foundation on 7.4.2022.
7. Department of Political Science has conducted an Add-On Course on Parliamentary Democracy in India from03.0l.2022 to 13.01.2022
8. Department of Hindi has conducted an Add-On Course on Art of Review from 07.02.2022 to 14.02.2022.
9. IQAC has taken active initiatives in matter related to promotion of five teachers and librarian under Career Advancement Scheme CAS

1. e-book system has been started in the College Library with the initiation of OPAQ.
2. Shikshak Parv has been celebrated during 05.09.2022 to 09.09.20222 in compliance with UGC letter number 2-79/2022 (CPPII dt. 25.08.2022)
3. An Add-On Course on Global Warming has been conducted with the Environmental Studies teacher at the helm from 16.11.2022 – 26.11.2022
4. Deliberation of prospects of Values in Higher Education System has been organized in college on 04.01.2023
5. Department of Zoology has conducted an Add-On Course on Mental Health from 09.01.2023 – 18.01.2023
6. Department of English has conducted an Add-On Course on Communicative English from 01.02.2023 – 10.02.2023
7. Department of Nepali has conducted an Add-On Course on Nepali Lekhan Shaili from 16.02.2023 – 27.02.2023
