Psychological Counselling
The Psychological Counselling Cell was founded to assist students experiencing a variety of psychological issues. The goal of our college’s Psychological Counselling Cell is to improve the lives of all of its employees, including teaching and non-teaching staff. Since development is a holistic process, any small issue that could impede our progress is significant and shouldn’t be dismissed; the Psychological Counselling Cell works to promote and safeguard the wellbeing of the Parimal Mitra Smriti Mahavidyalaya community.
The members of the cell evaluate, identify, and assist the students who are struggling with issues that range from academic to personal, emotional, social, familial as well as sexual. In order to assist students with their academic objectives, social and personality development, career ambitions, and the improvement of their listening, empathy, and interpersonal skills, in order to maintain healthy relationships and a healthy lifestyle, individual and/or group counselling are provided. The counsellors ensure that the children become well-adjusted and productive while managing stress and anxiety by frequently motivating and supporting them in all behavioural concerns. They do this by listening to the students and providing non-judgmental, confidential responses.
For the benefit of our students, the Psychological Counselling Cell handles emotional, behavioural, and cognitive issues such as relational problems, family problems, low confidence, academic anxiety, stress management, addiction to drugs, alcohol, or cigarettes, low self-esteem, and psychological issues.
